ULTIMO AGGIORNAMENTO - AMBASCIATA D'ITALIA

· We have requested permits for next flights Amsterdam – Lima on 02/09 and 09/09 and Lima – Amsterdam on 03/09 and 10/09.

· Our intention is to continue with the KLM humanitarian flights in the coming months. Permits will be requested for flights every Wednesday, from Amsterdam to Lima, and every Thursday, from Lima to Amsterdam.

· Bookings can be made via www.klm.com.pe or www.airfrance.com.pe

· Passengers that wish to fly from Amsterdam to Lima should contact the consulate of Peru in their country of departure.

Practical information about the flights Lima - Amsterdam

· Every flight Lima - Amsterdam departs (Thursday) from the International Airport Jorge Chávez at 16.15 hrs. and arrives in Amsterdam around 11.25 hrs.

· All passengers travel by themselves to Jorge Chavez Airport. Hence, there will no longer be buses departing from Miraflores to the airport.

· Price of a one way ticket economy class starts at approx. 800 USD (referential price). That price includes one suitcase of maximum 23 kilo and one piece of hand luggage.

In case of high demand, prices on the website gradually increase. There are also business class seats available (including 2 suitcases).

Children until 2 years old can share the seat of their parents, for 10% of the ticket price.

· The first additional suitcase costs USD 80 in case of bookings on the website; the other additional suitcases cost USD 160 each. You must be able to show proof of payment for the additional suitcases at the airport. Passengers that arrive at the airport with additional suitcases that they have not yet paid for, have to pay USD 100 for the first additional one and USD 200 for the ones after that. Payment can only be done by debit card or credit card.

· It is possible to use KLM / Air France vouchers for these flight or to change a current booking (for a flight that was cancelled or takes place at a later date).

· It is not possible to use Flying Blue miles to pay for these special flights. However, saving flying blue miles is possible and the regular card privileges apply.

· In case children travel with only one of their parents, a notarized consent form of the other parent is mandatory. Please contact KLM in case of children between 8 and 18 years old, who wish to travel alone.

· Dogs and cats are allowed on the flight (in the hold) if they comply with all conditions (documents, cage, vaccinations etc.). Pets have to leave the airport in Amsterdam. Hence, it is not possible to take them on a connecting flight. You will have to continue your trip by road. Please contact KLM beforehand if you bring a pet. More information: www.klm.com/…/prepare_for_tr…/travel_planning/pets/index.htm

· All passengers have to be in good health. At the airport (both in Amsterdam as in Lima), passengers have to sign a document to confirm that they are healthy and have not had any symptoms of covid-19 during the past few days (cough, fever etc.). On board the flight, passengers have to wear a mouth mask. As part of measures to prevent the spread of covid-19, there is limited catering on board.

· Citizens of EU+ countries can enter the Netherlands and continue their journey by plane or over land (train, bus, car). It is essential to check the rules of every country you pass through on your journey home, because rules may vary from country to country and change regularly!

· Citizens of EU+ countries means everyone who has a passport of, or holds a residence permit in, one of the following countries: EU member states, UK, Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Switzerland. EU+ citizens with a connecting flight can stay in a hotel outside the airport until their connecting flight departs.

· On the basis of Peruvian rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Peruvian government only allows travelling for Peruvian citizens who will work or study abroad. In case of humanitarian emergencies (for example, to visit a close relative in Europe, who is seriously ill), visits are possible, if the passenger has received permission from the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Peruvian citizens that wish to return to a country where they have a valid residence permit, are also allowed to travel.

· Transit: Citizens of non-EU+ countries can transfer to a country outside the EU+ via Amsterdam airport, if they remain in the non-Schengen transit area of the airport and if they have a ticket for a confirmed connecting flight –to an airport outside the Schengen area- that departs within 48 hours upon arrival in Amsterdam.

If your connecting flight takes place after 48 hours upon arrival in Amsterdam, or if your flight is on a cargo plane, an authorization of the Dutch immigration authorities is required. Please send an e-mail to vragengrenskantoor@ind.nl .

· Only transiting passengers who can show a ticket for a connecting flight will be allowed on board the KLM flight Lima-Amsterdam. Transit is not allowed for nationalities that need a transit visa (you can check that on: https://consular.mfaservices.nl/schengen-v…/schengen-advisor). In case of two stops in the Schengen area (transit from Amsterdam to another airport within the Schengen area), you will need a visa. It is not yet possible to apply for transit visa at our Embassy.

· In case of a connecting flight, your luggage will be labelled through to the final destination. It is not possible to retrieve your luggage at the airport in Amsterdam, because the luggage belts are outside the transit area at the airport. Please make sure you have all you need for the transit period and connecting flight(s) in your hand luggage. There are two hotels available within the transit area of Amsterdam airport: the Yotel and Mercure.

· The Dutch authorities oblige all travelers who stay in the Netherlands to remain in quarantine for the first 10 days (or until their connecting flight departs), in their home or hotel. In the Netherlands, you have to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters from other people. In public transport and at Amsterdam airport, mouth masks are mandatory.

· Please consult for more information: https://www.schiphol.nl/en/

· If you have any question about the flight (tickets, prices, special assistance, problems to reach contact center or website) please contact KLM: soportedeventasperu@klm.com

· In case you have questions/doubts about entrance to the Netherlands (only if you are uncertain if you fulfil all conditions), you can contact the Dutch Embassy via lim-ca@minbuza.nl
